Our business partners, Arizona Tile, have introduced their new Marrakesh Series of tile. These 8″ x 8″ tiles look hand-painted and are offered in ceramic or porcelain, depending on the finish. They are available in grey and color mixes and glossy and matte finishes. Please go here (https://www.arizonatile.com/en/products/porcelain-and-ceramic/marrakesh) for much more. We found the Marrakesh Series at the latest NAHB Show in Las Vegas.
The Tip-On Blumotion Legrabox uses a non-electric technology to enhance the opening and closing of handleless cabinet drawers. It is easy to assemble and a light touch will fully open or fully close the drawer. We came across this at the latest NAHB Show in Las Vegas. As cabinet people we come across dozens of different types of tile and hundreds of different designs. Some are great, some not so. But at the Dwell on Design show we were totally blown away by Gemstone Tile LLC’s product. Their raw material is turquoise from the Kingman Mine in Arizona, which produces some 500 variations of this natural blue-green material. It becomes a beautiful handcrafted tile for the luxury – and deep pocketed – market. All orders are custom made for the individual client. Please visit their website here (http://www.gemstonetileworks.com).
Neo-Metro is a California manufacturing company that designs, engineers, manufactures, and markets, environmentally friendly luxury hospitality & residential custom plumbing fixtures. We came across them at the Dwell on Design Show. Their products are very striking. Here are some examples. One of them features the Dyson Airblade hand dryer in a faucet that we featured in a recent post. Go to their website here.
We ran into BEST Range Hoods at the Dwell on Design Show. We really liked their combination of sleek Italian design and top of the line engineering. BEST describes their product this way: “The entire line of BEST range hoods is emotion made tangible, and art made functional. Unique in shape and design, these range hoods enable you to express your individuality with a twist on the traditional, or with truly one-of-a-kind styles.” And from what we saw at the show, this sounds about right. Visit the BEST website here (http://bestrangehoods.com).
We saw this hand dryer in a faucet at the Dwell on Design. You can wash your hands and then air-dry them at the sink in 14 seconds. No reaching for a towel. This is a way cool bathroom accessory but at $1,800 many will will find it way over the top! Click here for the Airblade site.
We like to stay on top of what is going on in the world of design. So we attended the 2015 Dwell on Design Show in LA last week. Here are Ed and Tony standing next to the Dwell sign at the LA Convention Center. We saw lots of cool stuff and will blog about it later.
